Imaging Services

Premier Imaging Center is a new, highly advanced diagnostic imaging center with state-of-the-art technology allowing for efficient and accurate results of your imaging examinations.

CT Scan

Computed Axial Tomography ("CT" or "CAT" scan) is a way of looking inside your body using a special circular X-Ray machine. During a CT exam, the scanner takes multiple cross-sectional pictures. These images are created with the help of a computer and are capable of depicting various internal body parts in much greater detail than standard X-Ray images. This greatly enhances the radiologist's ability to diagnose any abnormal findings. Radiation exposure is minimized with our advanced multi-slice Phillips 16-slice CT Scanner. The exam is painless and extremely fast.

Mammography

Mammography uses low-dose X-Rays to diagnose breast diseases, even in patients with no critical symptoms. Premier Imaging Center is accredited by the American College of Radiology. The all-female technical staff has advanced training in mammography. Specialty-trained, on-site, diagnostic radiologists carefully interpret all breast imaging results and are available to consult with you and your physician.

Bone Density (DEXA)

DEXA provides valuable information in the assessment of osteoporosis. The examination is quick, painless and very accurate. While you lay on the specialized table, a scanner moves over your body, generally measuring the lower spine and hip. A computer determines bone-mineral density based on the relative absorption of energy, and compares results with normative data, to tell you if you have normal bone density.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound is a simple, safe and painless diagnostic procure that bounces high-frequency sound waves off parts of the body and captures returning "echoes" as images. There is no injection or radiation exposure associated with ultrasound. Our state-of-the-art Sequoia ultrasound machine provides high-resolution images, which enables the radiologist to provide an accurate interpretation of your exam.

X-Ray & Fluoroscopy

X-Ray imaging is the best modality for accessing common abnormalities, such as broken or injured bones, pneumonia and infections, heart problems, tumor growths, and many other important abnormalities.

Fluoroscopy is one of the oldest and broadest areas of diagnostic radiology. In fluoroscopic studies, X-Ray imaging is used to produce an image that can displayed on a screen in real-time. This is used for examinations such as upper and lower GI studies, or to aid in placement of catheters and other medical devices.
